A Personal Pursuit

The message of Christ has been widely spread, and there are very few who can say they have never heard about Him. Our dilemma today is not that people have never heard; it’s that they hear but refuse to listen. Just because we can pick the Bible up at any time and read a few portions of scripture, doesn’t mean we have a relationship with the Lord. It is those who willingly and eagerly choose to pursue knowing God wholeheartedly, who enter into a relationship with Him, and feast with Him.

We have the responsibility to get to know God for ourselves. Those who seek will indeed find. The Lord longs for an intimate relationship, and He has given us His Word and His Holy Spirit to accomplish this. Ephesians 3:9 describes how the mysteries of knowing God are not hidden from us, but for us. The book of Proverbs tells us we receive life when we choose to find God in His Word (Proverbs 8:35).

When we choose to seek a meaningful relationship with the Lord, we will walk in the fullness of peace, joy, and unconquerable love it brings. Ignorance is no longer a viable excuse – victory in this life is fully obtainable through a personal pursuit to live in Christ.
