It’s easy to focus our attention primarily on the manifestations these verses speak of: “cast out demons, speak in new languages…” However, these are all a result of the first part of the scripture that enables the believer to experience them, which is; “those who believe…” A believer in God must fully believe in His Word. We must believe in the full consequence of the finished work of the cross that gives us access to the authority of Jesus’ Name, and the supernatural power that was at work in Him to raise Him from the dead and seat Him at the right hand of the Father – in heavenly places. Our belief in these wonderful truths causes us to be raised and seated with Christ Jesus, so we can do the works of God and see these glorious manifestations accompany us! Faith in God makes all these things possible. Looking beyond what we see in the natural into the spiritual reality of the Word – releases the eternity that has been placed in our hearts into our natural lives. This marks our lives with the supernatural. None of which happens automatically. We need to firmly stand on the truth of the Word, choosing to believe without any doubt until what has been promised comes to pass in our lives. Seeing and walking in the manifestations the Word promises requires us to set aside our flesh. Any thoughts of doubt, fear or unworthiness will only work to contaminate our faith and limit the power of God operating in our lives. Never allow unbelief to cause you to think this supernatural way of life is not for you. God’s Word is His will, and it applies to every born-again believer! Discard anything that may distract you from pursuing a life filled with the evidence of God and His divine influence at work within you. Remember, a Godly life is high above anything this world can offer, and it cannot be received outside of an intimate relationship with God and His Word.
