When we have a true encounter with the Presence of Jesus we are significantly changed. In just a moment His Spirit cuts away those things in our lives that hold us back from experiencing the fullness of His blessing and the freedom to live victoriously over sin. The way we sustain the power of that encounter is by having daily encounters with God’s Word. As we welcome the word into our hearts, the Holy Spirit releases supernatural faith and peace inside us, which dominates our thoughts and keeps us in a place of victory over sin. This is where nothing contrary to God can be found within us because we are literally abiding in Jesus, and His Word is abiding in us. The Bible says that those who entertain sinful lifestyles and keep on sinning have never really seen God or known Him. It’s impossible to abide in Jesus and have a taste for sin. If we really are abiding in Him we will not allow offence to take root inside us because God’s love will be dominating our lives. We will never acquire a taste for sin while we are delighting ourselves in Him. Our hearts will be full of joyful thankfulness when we abide in Jesus. We become sensitive and attentive to His leading and deliberately walk in love with others because our confidence is securely found in Christ. Decide to abide in Jesus every day, His love and power will cause you to soar in victory over sin and destroy its wicked agenda concerning you forever!
