This truth should NEVER grow old for the Believer: In Christ Jesus we have everlasting life! Not just any life – the life of God! We were literally pulled out of the kingdom darkness and ignorance concerning God and His goodness – and were transferred into the kingdom of light! Here we are able to experience what the life of God tastes and feels like, and it is GOOD!  We have been saved and redeemed by the blood of Jesus and now we can remain clean and full of His life through the work of the Holy Spirit, as we allow the truth of God’s Word to wash our minds with the water of the Word! This is our new life in Christ Jesus! He fills us with Himself, and we step into a powerful love relationship with Him and His Word. John 10:10 says, “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” Constantly being aware of God’s Own Spirit making His home in our hearts will cause us to experience His supernatural life – full of peace, joy, wisdom, and power – not only flowing in us, but through us into every area of our lives. Every good and perfect thing is in God and flows like a mighty river from His life-giving Spirit into ours (John 7:38)! If we want to have a continues flow of the very life of God in and through us, we must ensure we prioritize the things that God cares about, over and above all else. Ephesians 4:18 warns us to not be like the Gentiles who walk in the futility of their minds – which means having an un-renewed mind: “having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart;”.  Romans 1:21 explains the danger of not keeping our minds full of and acknowledging the wonderful privileges we have in Christ: “because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.”  This will never be our story as we constantly root ourselves in God’s love, being careful to acknowledge the eternal life we have in Him!
