The Bible teaches that the kingdom of God is a way of life, not a destination. When we live by its principles our lives will reflect the evidence of that kingdom by overflowing with righteousness, peace, and the joy of the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17)! It is impossible to live according to the kingdom of God way and be sick, poor or in any kind of deficit. Just like the kingdom of the world has a currency called money by which we buy and sell, the kingdom of God has a currency too, it’s called faith. The Bible tells us that faith comes by us continually hearing the Word of God. The Greek translation for Word here is Rhema (the spontaneous flow of God’s voice into our spirits). Now it’s very important to note that God’s Rhema Word will always be exactly in line with His written Word. In fact, His written Word that we meditate on and believe actually becomes alive inside us. That life is from the Holy Spirit and He literally takes that written Word and speaks it into our spirits and we hear it in our minds. It spontaneously comes up into our thoughts filling us with a sudden surge of peace and joy! This is faith! Now we need to allow that faith to become effective! Philemon 1:6 says our faith becomes effective when we acknowledge every good thing that is already in us (our re-born spirits), because we are in Christ Jesus! As we stay in faith, what is true in our spirit-man will be true in every area of our lives! All we need to do is find out what is ours in Christ, meditate on it so that it becomes alive in us as we choose to believe it – and then speak it out and acknowledge it! The easiest way to get into the habit of doing this is by always putting the phrase, “Thank you” in front of what we acknowledge! “Thank You Father for already supplying every need I have according to Your riches in glory!” …” Thank You Lord for already healing me!” … “Thank You Lord for flooding my mind with Your wisdom!”. “Thank You, that goodness and mercy, love and favour go before me, surround me on every side, and follow after me – all the days of my life!”. Spend time finding out what is yours because you are in Christ Jesus and begin to acknowledge it by thanking Him for it! As you activate your faith this way – what is already inside your spirit will come flowing into every area of your life!
