Are You Ready?

According to the fulfilment of Bible prophecy, we are most certainly living in the last of the last days of the church age!  Jesus is about to appear in the sky to fetch His bride from this earth, and we must be ready! Luke 12:40 says, “You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour and a moment when you do not anticipate it.” Jude 1:21 and Philippians 3:20 tell us to wait eagerly and expectantly for this remarkable day! The day of our redemption, where Jesus personally rescues us out of and from the wrath that will be poured out on those who refuse to repent and feel no shame or regret for their attitudes and actions against God (1 Thessalonians 1:10). So how can we know we are ready for His return? 1 Corinthians 1:7 says we are to see to it that we, “… are not [consciously] falling behind or lacking in any special spiritual endowment or Christian grace [the reception of which is due to the power of divine grace operating in our souls by the Holy Spirit], while we wait and watch [constantly living in hope] for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and [His] being made visible to all.” In other words, the Believer who is consciously moving forward in faith and continuously welcoming and embracing the work of the Holy Spirit in his life, while constantly watching for Christ to appear, will be ready! 2 Peter 3:14 says, “So, beloved, since you are expecting these things, be eager to be found by Him [at His coming] without spot or blemish and at peace [in serene confidence, free from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts].” The Believer who is found ready for the rapture is one who has decided to live dedicated and devoted to Jesus, by giving himself to know His ways through studying His Word and aligning his life to the will of God. He allows the Holy Spirit to deal with every area of his life until he willingly abandons the ways of the world to walk in God’s ways of love and holiness. This makes him a vessel set apart and useful for God’s purpose, doing the good work he was created to do, so he will be found ready for Jesus’ return!  (2 Timothy 2:20). The question is, are you ready?
