Are You Ready?

If you know anything about Bible prophecy, you know that the very next event to take place is the catching up of the Bride of Christ!  In 1 Thessalonians 5:1-6 we are told this event will be so sudden that it will come as a thief in the night for those who do not know the Lord and His times and seasons.  Even though we are not to know the day, nor the hour of this awesome event, the Bible tells us we certainly know the precise seasons and times to be expectant for it to take place.  The Biblical Feasts celebrated by the Jewish people have always been significant markers concerning the seasons and times for Biblical prophecy to unfold. As Christians, we see each  one pointing to and being fulfilled by the Lord Jesus Christ (Leviticus 23).  In Colossians 2:16-17, Paul says we are not to be hung up on practicing these feasts, but to view them as types and shadows of the things to come, understanding they all revolve around Jesus!  The first four feasts always take place in the Spring months of the Northern Hemisphere being March,  April and May. Each feast correlates to the exact day of Biblical prophecy being fulfilled. Jesus was crucified on the Feast of Passover, buried on the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and resurrected on the Feast of First Fruits. Fifty days later, the Holy Spirit was poured out on the Feast of Pentecost. All these feasts have been fulfilled. The next 3 feasts take place in the Autumn months of September and October. The Feast of Trumpets points to the rapture of the church. 1 Corinthians 15:52 declares the rapture will take place when the last trumpet is blown on this feast. Interestingly enough, the exact day was never determined until it was upon them since it always fell on the first new moon of the month. This was followed by the Feast of The Day of Atonement, symbolising God’s judgement, and then the Feast of Tabernacles, where Jesus dwells with us in the millennium.  We have no way of knowing the exact time Jesus will call us to Himself, but we do know He said the days will be as the time of Noah and Lot. They were days of extreme evil, corruption and deception, as it is today. The Lord promises to snatch His church away in the nick of time, as He did Noah and Lot, before He pours down His wrath and judgement on the earth. It’s essential that each one of us live every day in a way that is pleasing to Him. Having our lives in order, living full of His Spirit, righteous, holy and blameless.  He is coming soon – are you ready?
