All authority has been invested in the Name of Jesus! It’s by this name alone that we are saved from eternal separation from God (Acts 2:21, Acts 4:12). The Bible tells us that God highly exalted Jesus, and gave Him the name above every other name, and that at that name every knee should bow in three different worlds! In heaven, on earth, and below the earth! Oh the power that is invested in the Name of Jesus! In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus said that all authority has been given to Him by His Father, and then He instructed us to go into all the world, carrying His Name – and He would be with us! We know He is with us every time we use His name because Matthew 18:20 says that when we gather in His name – He is in our midst! In Mark 16:17-18 Jesus said these signs will accompany those who believe – in His name they will cast out demons, pray in other tongues, take up serpents, drink any deadly thing and it will not harm them, and lay hands on the sick and they will recover! Hallelujah! And we have been given that name! The key is to believe in its power and not use it in vein. To use in in vein means to use it without believing in and acknowledging the usefulness and effectiveness it holds. When we speak that name in faith, demons tremble and prayers are answered. It’s time to start walking in the authority Jesus Himself has given us – as we believe in His name and use it to see the works of the devil destroyed and the atmosphere of heaven released – we will see Jesus Himself in our midst, carrying out that power as He moves in His Name!
