Cancelled Accusations

We partake of communion because it reminds us of what Jesus did on the cross for us and the life we can now live in Him. It points to the intimate relationship we now have access to with the Father. It also keeps us fully aware of the victory we have over sin in our lives because our old nature died with Jesus, and we rose together with Him as brand new creations – clean and righteous!

No matter what our life before knowing Jesus looked like, the devil, who is our accuser, can never hold our past against us. The Bible says Jesus cancelled the record of our wrongdoings that were charged against us when He was nailed to the cross. Those accusations were nailed with Him. Hallelujah! When Jesus came off the cross, they were left nailed to it and that’s where they will remain. They don’t belong to us anymore! One translation says the very handwriting those accusations were written in has been blotted out – they simply don’t exist anymore.

Remind the devil of this very powerful truth whenever He tries to intimidate and prevent you from gaining traction in faith. Stand up in confidence, walk-in His fullness and move forward in the victory that’s yours – because you are free!
