Throughout scripture, the Names of God are declared, each revealing a powerful truth of His character, His attributes, and His true identity. Knowing the truth of Who God is, by what He calls Himself, enriches and deepens the way we relate to Him, and builds our faith in His faithfulness towards us. Moses felt completely inadequate for the task he was given, and he knew the people would insist on knowing Who was sending him. So God told Moses to say, “I AM has sent me”.
God was saying that He was exactly what His people would need, when they needed it. He was their God, their protector, their deliverer, and their provider. They could trust Him to be everything they would ever need. This promise rings true for every born-again believer today! God has declared to be exactly who we need Him to be, in every season, and every circumstance of our lives! He wants us to trust Him with all things, at all times.
