Choose the Flow of the Spirit

There is a flow of the things of this world, and then there is a flow of the Spirit of God, we must choose which flow we are going to give ourselves to. In reality, there is actually only one choice to make. If we choose to remain ‘neutral’ and wait to see what is going to take place before making a deliberate commitment to wholeheartedly live for the Lord – we will be swept away with the tide of the world, because we will have no resistance against the great deception of these times (2 Timothy 2:15-19, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-13). Genesis 1:2 says that in the beginning, “…the Spirit of God hovered over the surface of the waters” before God created the world and everything in it with His Words of faith – in that creative atmosphere produced by the Holy Spirit (Hebrews 11:3). As children of God, we have the same Holy Spirit, with His creative power, on the inside of us. His creative power also resides all around us since He is omnipresent. All that power is waiting for our words of faith to create the will of God into every area we speak into, as we are led by the Spirit!  Which is why it is vital that we choose to live by the things of the Spirit, and not by the things of this world. The Holy Spirit will never lead us into things that would violate or contradict what God has already said in His Word. Now, how are we going to know what His will is, or even hear His Spirit speak if we are not habitually, with wholehearted intensity – spending quality time in His Word and fellowshipping with Him in prayer? The Bible teaches that we will find ourselves facing circumstances that will be extremely troubling and even dangerous, however when we have the life of the Spirit and the truth of His Word abounding on the inside of us – we will walk in overwhelming victory as we hear the Lord’s instructions and follow His lead in every instance. That’s because greater is He who is in us, than he who is in the world! This victory will not come when we live “back and forth” between the things of God and the things of this world. Make a choice to be wholeheartedly committed God. Know His Word, know His ways and you will experience His victory – every single day!
