Geographers rely on maps and graphs to locate areas not yet found. By the same token, we have the Word of God as our guide. There is no guidebook suitable to lead us in the kingdom of God way, except for the Bible. Moreover, we have a first-class, personal guide and teacher who is committed to lead us step by step into every truth the Word lays out for us. He reveals each glorious mystery to our hearts and quickens it to us – making it alive with the power to do exactly what it says to do! Philippians 2:13 says, “for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.”. As you begin each day, let the Holy Spirit be your guide in the Word. While you meditate on its truth, you will find it protects your heart from bitterness and fear, shields your mind from all temptations to sin, and makes your way prosperous. A life committed to God’s Word, by His Holy Spirit, is marked by holiness, peace and joy, causing us to continually move forward from one degree of faith and glory to the next!
