Our spiritual identity is found in who God’s Word says we are. There are over 130 scriptures that help us see and understand who God has made us to be from the moment we surrendered our lives to the Lord Jesus. At our new birth, we were made completely new creatures in Christ! (2 Corinthian 5:17). That phrase IN CHRIST is literally where we find ourselves as God’s children. Just as He died on the cross, our old, sinful natures died with Him. And just as He was raised from the dead victorious, and seated at the right hand of the Father, in heavenly places – we were raised up together with Him! (Ephesians 2:5-6). The Bible says we have become joint heirs with Christ so everything the Bible says is ours in Him, is ours legally. That’s because the Bible is a legal document, sealed by the Blood of Jesus. However, it’s our believing it and confessing it that makes it a reality to us. God wants us to enjoy and know the reality of what He has provided for us! In Philippians 3:9, Paul made it clear that he preferred the man he was “in Christ” far more than the man he had been before he knew Him. Out of all his accomplishments for the kingdom of God, what he desired above all else, was to know and experience the Person of Jesus more – because he really believed he was complete in Him. Let the reality of your new-man in Christ become the truth that dominates you today – you will find yourself walking in glorious victory, peace, and joy because you know, beyond any doubt, that you are complete in Him.
