I’m sure this title must have caught your attention and I’m so glad it did. The evil spirit in Acts 19:15 knew exactly who Jesus and Paul were, but had no knowledge of these seven sons of a priest named Sceva. The reality is, unless our names are registered in the Lamb’s Book of Life, our Kingdom of God identity, which carries great authority will not be recognized by demonic spirits. The key that empowered the believers in the Bible, and those that are now upon the earth, is the revelation of that Kingdom identity. Knowing Who lives on the inside of us, and the power He has purposefully given us, by His Spirit, and in His Name gives us holy confidence to boldly enforce the devil’s defeat on this earth.
The sons of Sceva had no revelation of this identity, they had no authority in the realm of the spirit. They tried to cast the demon out of the man with the words: “…in the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches…”, they never said: “…in the name of Jesus, whom we preach!” Today as you spend time in God’s Word, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal your true Kingdom identity in Christ. He will empower you to truly walk in Kingdom authority and harass the devil wherever you go!
