t’s easy to overlook the countless blessings already in our lives when we’re so caught up in the cares around us. Being focused on the problems keeps us in a place of perpetual anxiety and misery. You may think you don’t have anything to be grateful for, but stop for a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to Who the Lord is and all He wants to be in your life. As you begin to recognise how faithful, caring and completely attentive He is towards you, you’ll begin to recognise all He has done – and is continuously doing all around you. Very soon, your eyes will be open to see how His goodness in your life trumps every problem and makes it look trivial in comparison. The spontaneous praise that pours out of a thankful heart is priceless and precious to the Lord. In fact, He chooses to dwell in that atmosphere where He is recognised for Who He truly is, and will not allow any good thing to be withheld from you. So stop your fretting and be thankful, refusing to overlook His blessings in your life.
