Expect the Miraculous

In Jesus’ earthly ministry, performing miracles was the norm. He raised the dead, walked on water, turned water into wine, caused the lame to walk, the deaf to hear, the mute to speak. Jesus cleansed lepers, healed the sick and cast out devils. The disciples were very much part of every one of these miracles.

On one occasion, Jesus fed around 5000 families with five loaves of bread and two small fish! He was so convinced of His Father’s faithfulness and ability to provide, He simply gazed up to heaven and thanked God for what He knew He was about to do, and began to distribute the food. Jesus handed the food to His disciples, who saw the miracle of multiplication begin from His hands to theirs – and they in turn served the multitude. That food multiplied in the hands of the disciples too! God’s supernatural power will flow through us as long as we walk in the revelation that it’s no longer us who live, but Christ who lives within us.

Jesus made us His representatives on this earth. We have been mandated and empowered to touch this world through His love and power flowing in and through us. Our responsibility is to do what He did: acknowledge and thank God for His faithfulness to provide, and confidently trust and expect the supernatural to flow – which is His responsibility – and He never fails to deliver!
