Daniel’s end time vision revealed a river of fire pouring out from the presence of God. Hebrews 12:29 describes God as being a consuming fire! If a river of fire is constantly flowing from the throne of God, and we have been given access into this throne room through the blood of Jesus – what is preventing us from receiving a fresh touch of this fire flowing from His throne? In the book of Leviticus, it says the fire on the altar of our hearts should never go out! We have a responsibility to keep it burning strong. Paul told Timothy to fan into flame the gift that was in him. We constantly have to fan into flame the fire that is in us to keep our hearts burning for Him. We do this by remaining aware of His Presence in us. 1 John 2:24 says that as we allow the message of our new life that is hidden in Christ, and all that it entails to abide in us, we will actively abide in the Son and in the Father! Our hearts will continuously be alight with His fire that is streaming from His Presence inside us! This way we will not be found lukewarm in His returning, but red hot with the fire of passion burning for Him and His ways.
