We are all called to follow the Lord Jesus with eyes of faith, being careful to not be dissuaded by any circumstances that oppose the path He has chosen for us to walk in. It would have been easy for Moses’ parents to opt to preserve and protect themselves rather than disobey Pharaoh when he ordered all Hebrew baby boys to taken from their parents. There’s no doubt such a cruel ruler had brutal consequences in store for anyone who disobeyed him. By faith, Moses’ parents chose their purpose to preserve the life of their son above their own safety. Their decision to act in faith opened their hearts to receive divine wisdom from the Lord to act with haste and skill. The Bible says they recognised God had given them an unusual child with a significant destiny. They understood their responsibility to refuse fear and act in faith, trusting the Lord to work out every detail following each step of obedience. Because of their faith and obedience, Moses lived to be one of the greatest instruments of God’s grace and deliverance in the history of mankind. He was used by God to liberate the entire nation of Israel. Today, recognise you have been called by God for a higher purpose than just existing. You are called as His own representative, to walk in His authority over the devil and release His goodness here on earth.
