This seems like a simple instruction, but for those of us determined to run our race and stay the course, there’s nothing simple about it. Although there’s a great reward for being a disciple of Christ, the cost may seem equally great if we aren’t resolved to daily spending time building up our spirits in prayer, and renewing our minds to the truth of God’s Word.
Why? Because we have been commissioned by God with the mandate to do something about the darkness plaguing this earth! We must advance God’s Kingdom; bringing light, life, and a sure hope for people to cling to. If we fail to keep ourselves filled up with Holy Ghost power, and refrain from remaining anchored to the truth – we’ll become riddled with excuses and spiritual lethargy. We will be unable, and uninterested to complete what we were called to do.
Today, stand up; shake off every weight that’s keeping you from taking up your rightful place in the kingdom. Align yourself with God’s will and agenda, and follow Jesus – causing His kingdom to be manifest on earth as it is in heaven.
