Every believer will encounter a myriad of problems in their journey of faith, but we can thank God with all our hearts because the Lord Jesus ALWAYS leads us in triumph (2 Corinthians 2:14)! This victory is not for someday when we get to heaven, but for every challenge, we will face here, on earth.
While we are in Christ Jesus, we can always expect His very present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Even with all the odds stacked against them, Paul and Silas chose to pray and praise the Lord while they were in prison, after a beating – for the crime of preaching and demonstrating the Gospel! Far less is done to Christians who throw in the towel over the slightest offence. If the devil can make you fall for his trap of offence, he can render you powerless in an instant.
So, rise above his tactics, remember who you are in Christ, and what you are called to do for His kingdom. Shake off your discouragement, toughen up your resolve and push forward in faith, defying the enemy at every chance. Remember – you carry the Presence and power of God. So, refuse to doubt and lose your joy! Keep your eyes on Jesus, keep His Word alive in your heart, and keep high praise flowing from your mouth! The victory has already been won, so send the devil and despair running in fear while you walk in courageous faith and joy! The Lord is with you – you shall not fail!
