When a born-again believer has a revelation of his identity in Christ, all past insecurities and inadequacies are washed under the blood of Jesus, and no longer have a hold on him. Instead, there is a confidence that stems from a very grateful heart, understanding everything that is good, noble, and praiseworthy in him – comes from Christ alone! This confidence comes with an authority that terrifies the kingdom of darkness. That’s because it can never be shaken.
When we grasp the value of our freedom in Christ, we become passionate about our commitment and devotion to Him. We delight in His Word and His ways and love to be in His Presence and do His will. Every day we are reminded of the new life of grace He has given us. Instead of being enslaved to sin and death – we have been redeemed, set free, and given a position of sonship – where God Himself has made us His heirs!
Now we can walk with a true sense of belonging, knowing how much we are loved. We can follow His voice every day, walk-in His wisdom and peace, and know His joy as every promise He has made becomes our reality – and we did nothing to deserve it. Everything we are and ever will be is attributed to Christ alone. He took us from slavery and transformed us into royalty!
