Friend, don’t give up on six when the breakthrough is coming on seven! In the above scripture God sends Elijah to declare to King Ahab that after a long period of drought, rain is on its way. This happened to be right after a glorious show-down between the prophets of Baal and Elijah, as to whose God truly lived. The contest ended with a killing frenzy, where Elijah, under the hand of God, single handily slaughtered everyone of the 400 prophets. Now that the evil manipulators were literally removed from the high places over Israel, God would break the terrible drought and bring relief to the land and His people, in spite of their unfaithful hearts towards Him. Even though there was no physical sign of rain, God had given Elijah a Word, and he refused to acknowledge anything that was contrary to it. On the 7th command for his servant to report for a sign of rain, he finally reported a cloud, the size of a man’s hand. Regardless of the size of the sign – Elijah was satisfied! He knew God’s Word would produce what He said! What followed afterward was a torrential downpour of rain! It’s time for God’s people to place their unmovable faith in His Word again! It’s a fight of faith that we are in, and we must lay hold of God’s Word and refuse to be moved until we see it produce what it promises in our lives. Whatever you’ve been believing God for, don’t give up, GO LOOK AGAIN until that breakthrough has become your reality.
