Many may not believe this scripture applies to them since it was written at the time, for the nation of Israel. However, when we read the Old Testament, it becomes a shadow and a type for the New Covenant believer, because of what the finished work of the cross accomplished for us. Isaiah 54:2-3 demonstrates for us the very nature of God for His people – which is unchanging! His desire for us is to increase and prosper in every area of life! Throughout the Bible we read of the increase and blessing God pours upon those who are faithful and obedient to Him. He is a God of more, a God of greater things. The Kingdom of God always moves forward, it is always advancing and if you are in this Kingdom, that means you are to be advancing too! The blessing of the Lord is evident to others when we commit to following His Word and the direction of the Holy Spirit. In this process, His desires become our own! When we allow God’s Spirit to minister what His Word says about His nature and our true identity in Jesus, our lives become transformed from the inside out and we begin to produce fruit to show for it! Ignorance concerning the Word is what will hold us back from increase, but knowledge of the Word will seat us high above every distraction and keep us walking in all He has for us! Live prepared and ready to obey God, always making room to receive what He pours out. Allow faith and truth, by His Spirit, to rule your life, and you will always experience His supernatural protection and provision.
