Greater in the Kingdom

Every man born of women from the creation until the time of John the Baptist only had limited access to the glory and presence of God. His anointing would be found upon certain individuals throughout the ages, but none had the privilege of His anointing or presence being alive and manifest in the flesh among them as John did.  He literally introduced Jesus – the sole expression of the glory of God – to men.He was the one appointed by God to prepare the way for His Son!  In light of this, there’s no wonder Jesus said there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist! In Matthew 11:11, Jesus declares that even this privilege that marked John to be greater than any other man that lived to that point, cannot compare to what is available to those who will enter His kingdom through believing in Him. Every person who accepts Jesus as Lord and Saviour will be given the right to be called a son of God! They will not just know His presence in a limited supply. No, this Presence and anointing will dwell and remain IN them forever! 1 John 2:27 says, “But as for you, the anointing (the sacred appointment, the unction) which you received from Him abides [permanently] in you; [so] then you have no need that anyone should instruct you. But just as His anointing teaches you concerning everything and is true and is no falsehood, so you must abide in (live in, never depart from) Him [being rooted in Him, knit to Him], just as [His anointing] has taught you [to do].” Even the very least in God’s kingdom has this awesome privilege – Christ IN him, the hope of glory!
