Have Faith in God

You cannot separate faith from a child of God, it’s like taking a fish out of water, it’s simply not going to end well! That’s because Kingdom living is living by faith. It is a lifestyle of understanding how to receive everything Jesus accomplished for us through the finished work of the cross. While Jesus was on earth, He recognized those who had great faith. He also recognized those who had little faith – when they didn’t fully believe they had the ability to receive whatever was needed from God.  The centurion in Luke chapter 7 had great faith in God. He believed if Jesus just spoke the word, his servant would be healed. However, His own disciples didn’t realise the authority Jesus had given them to calm the raging storm by just speaking His word (Matthew 8:26). Hebrews 11:1 says, “Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen…” We can confidently believe we are well able to receive and walk in everything God’s Word says is ours when we exercise our faith. This is how God desires us to live (Hebrews 11:6, Romans 1:17).  If God’s Word has promised something, He will surely do it, because He always, without exception, honours His Word. Even when we don’t fully know what our future holds, we can be fully confident that He will cause every good and perfect gift needed to overcome and live victoriously, to become our reality as we have faith in His Word (James 1:17-18).  Let the words of Jesus speak loudly to you today; “Have faith in God!” (Mark 11:22).
