Faith not only pleases God, it moves the things that have been provided for us from the realm of the spirit into our natural reality! Of course this is a wonderful benefit for every born again child of God. However, true faith – the unwavering kind – is not based on just believing the promises, but on believing in the One who made them. When we have learnt how to enter in and dwell in what the Bible calls, “the secret place of the Most High” – and our delight is in knowing and intimately fellowshipping with Him – we will never be disappointed, neither will we know lack. That’s because the Lord fully satisfies us with Himself and perfects everything concerning us! Hallelujah! Believing Him for the ‘things’ He has promised us comes from the overflow of our sweet communion with Him. Hebrews chapter 4 calls this place the rest of God. It’s a place where unbelief and striving for acceptance or approval from God cannot exist. It gives us a bold confidence to enter the throne room of our Heavenly Father and receive exactly what we need from Him, whenever we need it. Every time we turn our attention and affection towards the Lord, Who lives within us, He rewards us with Himself! He is our joy, our peace, our strength, our delight and our portion! In Him we will never lack or fail. When Jesus walked on the earth, He demonstrated this valuable key of seeking His Heavenly Father first, and then confidently enjoying all His benefits that flow from that. In Mark 5:34, Jesus recognised and acknowledged this trust in Him in the woman with the issue of blood. He said, “Daughter, your faith [your personal trust and confidence in Me] has restored you to health; go in peace and be [permanently] healed from your suffering.” The same way the faith this woman had in the Person of Jesus caused her to overcome and have victory is the same way your faith in God will cause you to receive every benefit and breakthrough you need. Faith in the good character of God carries the confidence to believe for anything and everything He has promised us!
