His Way

Jesus, the Son of God, clothed in majesty and glory, looked past the splendour He carried and disregarded His Divine privilege for a purpose that could easily be seen as far below Him. The Bible says He emptied Himself and laid aside all His outer glory to become one of us. He didn’t look at the external to define His identity and purpose. Instead, He decided pleasing His Father and doing His will was exactly who He was and what He lived for. No matter the rejection, humiliation, or horror that lay before Him, He did it all. The Bible says Jesus held onto the joy that would come as a result of His willing obedience. He knew His Father’s character, and completely trusted in and relied on the fact that His will would always be the perfect plan of redemption and restoration for all who embraced it. Likewise, our identity and purpose comes from what God says concerning us. There is nothing more joyful than living in that truth. His thoughts concerning us are far greater than our greatest imaginations. God is a good God. His character is unparalleled. We can always depend on His ways to lead to an outcome that reflects His excellent nature. His way is always best!
