His Word Moves Swiftly

Did you know that before any problem ever existed in your life, the Lord, your God – already had the answer to it?  Before sin was even an issue for mankind – He already had a plan to resolve it! Why? Because He is good, and His Word always produces what He says. Ephesians 2:7 says God’s motivation for making us alive in Christ and seating us with Him in Heavenly places and making us heirs of His eternal kingdom was this: “that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.” He is as trustworthy as His Word! When He promises a thing and declares it – He will always cause it to move swiftly and produce exactly what He said – the moment we choose to believe it – with the same intensity we believe in His good nature. Numbers 23:19 says, “God is not a man, that He should tell or act a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance [for what He has promised]. Has He said it and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?”. A principle scripture we base our faith on to receive from God is Mark 11:23-24.  We are told that when we ask God for something He has promised us in His Word, we receive it the moment we believe what we say. As we fully trust God and His wonderful nature, we are able to have faith in His Word, and His willingness to perform it in our lives. And when we are more consumed with the wonder of His goodness and kindness and faithfulness towards us than what we asked Him for – His Word moves swiftly to go to work on our behalf (2 Chronicles 16:9). In Joshua 3:5, God told the people that they were to sanctify their hearts to the Lord because the very next day – not sometime in the distant future – He would do wonders among them.  As you sanctify your heart to trust in His nature, you will find there will be no delay in His promises – His Word will move swiftly to perform them.
