Before we receive the reality of God’s promises, we must believe they are ours in our hearts before we can take hold of them in our hands. Romans 4:16 tells us that all the promises of God are only obtainable through faith. God has already promised us the fullness of His kingdom; it’s up to us to increase our expectancy so we have the capacity to walk in it. Small-minded thinking potentially limits what God can do in and through us.
The widow who needed a breakthrough already had the provision – the oil was in her possession. She was told to gather many more vessels, to increase her expectation and capacity for what God was about to pour into her life. When her expectation and capacity increased, the provision did too. God wants to give us access to more. More revelation into the mysteries of His Kingdom ways to walk in the blessing they provide.
It’s up to us to increase our expectation and capacity to walk in that provision. Mark 4:23-25 tells us the measure of attention we give to the things of God, will be the measure that’s poured back into our lives! Devote time to study and meditate on the truth of God’s Word and practice active faith. You will find your expectation and capacity for His kingdom promises will increase and you’ll begin living in the overflow of His abundant grace!
