I love that the Bible’s first verse states: “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1). It has no introduction of who God is or where He came from, it just powerfully declares what He did. God doesn’t need to prove Himself – He simply manifests His nature and His attributes in everything He does. The Bible says God has made His existence plainly known! His invisible qualities can be clearly perceived in all He has made. The Amplified Classic versions of Romans 1:20 says, “For that which is known about God is evident to them and made plain in their inner consciousness, because God [Himself] has shown it to them”. Because our born-again spirits are re-created in His image and likeness, we have an intuitive knowledge of our Maker. However, He still presents us with the will to choose to surrender ourselves to knowing and loving Him more. As we open our hearts and minds to receive a deeper revelation of Who He is from His Word, through His Spirit, we don’t just get to experience Him, our human natures become transformed into His very image. All of creation groans in anticipation for us to walk and operate here on earth representing all that He is! Knowing who our God truly is empowers us to live beyond the natural and enables us to carry out His purpose with signs, wonders, and miraculous displays of His goodness – which is exactly what we were created to do.
