Abraham, our father in the faith, solely focused on the blessing – not the curse! Sadly, so many Christians today spend so much time and energy focusing on curses or obstacles to their breakthroughs, instead of the God Who has promised blessing and freedom. The Bible says all who put their faith in Jesus Christ are partakers of the blessing of Abraham.
There was once a king named Balak, who commanded the prophet Balaam to curse the people of Israel. But instead of cursing them, only blessing came out of Balaam’s mouth. For the child of God, even if a curse is pronounced, it will “flutter over you like a bird, but it will find no place to land”. That’s because no one can curse whom God has blessed!
Understand Jesus Christ has redeemed you from the curse, by becoming a curse, so that you might receive His unmerited favour and blessing upon your life. It’s a done deal! No need to focus on the curse or any obstacle that seems to be in the way of living blessed. Start thanking the Lord that He has already blessed you with every spiritual blessing in heaven (Ephesians 1:3). In the words of Kenneth Copeland, declare this over your life: “I am as blessed as Adam was before the fall. I am as blessed as Abraham was. I am as blessed as Jesus is. I AM BLESSED, in Jesus’ Name!”
