I don’t think anyone in their right minds would allow someone to trash their house – to allow thieves to break in, steal and destroy what is meant for safety, peace and rest. Yet, all too often, we allow sickness, sin, worry, unbelief and lack of care to destroy God’s temple – our bodies. When we understand that we are the house of God, that we carry His Presence within us, we will think twice about what we allow to influence our minds and bodies. From the time our spirits were made alive in Christ, we were set apart from living in a way that is common to those who don’t know God. We have been given this treasure that deserves and desires our lives to be wholly consecrated and devoted to the One Who gave us this new life! God’s Own Holy Spirit dwells within us. His power and love are able to abound in us to heal and restore all that is broken, and then flow from us to touch others, allowing them to see His goodness and kindness through us. This happens when we constantly keep our minds stayed and hearts fixed on Him. This way no corruption or contamination can break through and violate what is sacred to us. When we spend time fellowshipping with the Lord and keep our hearts filled with the truth of His word, we remain aware and consciousness of His ever present Presence in us and His readiness to help us. Protect the precious treasure that you carry, hate what is evil and carefully navigate this life to keep the overflow of His Presence diffusing through you.
