The Bible tells us that since we are united with Christ, we are one spirit with Him! (1 Corinthians 6:17). Hallelujah! Is there anything more thrilling than knowing the life, peace, joy and power of the risen Lord Jesus Christ is constantly welling up inside of us, through His indwelling Holy Spirit?! That living water that is continually flowing from your spirit-man into your soul contains the full measure of the character of God! Everyone of His powerful attributes can gush into your soul, wash over every thought, and find its way into every cell in your body! It will pour out on every word you speak and into the lives of everyone you are in contact with – spilling its life all over them! God’s life-giving flow is there to constantly cleanse and protect you from the inside out – as long as you don’t clog up the flow! What keeps that life flowing from your inner-man into the rest of your life? Your thoughts! Our thoughts must be in harmony with God. While we keep in close communion with Him in prayer and His Word – there will always be a free flow of His love and power to overcome absolutely anything and everything we face in our day. To keep this flow watering and refreshing you and others, determine to close your ears to any voice that flows in the opposite spirit of God’s own Spirit. Turn away from any gossip, criticism, or murmuring. Refuse to entertain any conversations that bring worry or unbelief. If you don’t hear words of hope and faith around you – then open your mouth and let that river of life flow out of you to change the spiritual atmosphere! Just yield to the voice of the life-giving Spirit who is in you, and it will drown out and overpower the voices of the world and the flesh around you! Drink deeply of God’s Spirit and His Word today – and let that fountain of life flow!
