Keep Speaking Victory

Words set the direction for our lives. We can’t speak defeat and expect victory! That’s why we need to pay attention to what we’re saying. Not just in our prayers, but in every conversation. The Bible says our tongues hold the power to give either life or death. Unfortunately, our human nature automatically resorts to speaking negatively when a crisis or trouble arises. But we can counteract this default by getting in the habit of saying two powerful words before any other words escape our mouths: “I’m thankful.”

When someone remarks about the failing economy, you say, “I’m thankful God takes care of me!”. When your body aches with symptoms of sickness, you say, “I’m thankful my body is healed!”

No matter what the devil sets up for you to come into agreement with his plan with your words – you can automatically refuse it with these words that build your faith and produce life instead! Thankfulness is the language of faith!  It’s God’s language – the one He responds to.
