Keep the Word

Whatever we consistently allow into our lives will certainly produce after it’s kind.  Which is why we must be intentional about what we let in! Romans 10:17 gives us great insight into how faith comes and what it’s based on. It’s no wonder it pleases God when we live by faith, because it’s exactly how we access all that He has for us (Hebrews 11:6; 6:12). In truth, we can’t separate a child of God from a lifestyle of faith, it is the only way we can operate the higher life we are called to live in Christ, while we are in this world (Romans 1:17). It’s essential for us to live centred around the Word of God, where we allow it’s truth to transform us, by cutting away wrong mindsets, and building new ones that bring life, peace and freedom through the power of the Holy Spirit. This is where our victory in this life stems from!  1 John 5:4 says, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” When we read about the wonders and workings of Jesus while He was on earth, it stirs our faith to believe that He can work through us to see those very same things on earth today (John 14:12). That is how we are meant to be living! Faith will not come from having our attention on worldly things though, they will only distract us from the word, filling our lives with things that bring fear, depression, anxiety and disappointment. So be intentional about what you allow in, the more word you consume, the more you will experience your faith being built, developed and strengthened – keeping you in a place of joyful victory, while pleasing God!
