Let Peace Rule

We know that peace is not the absence of war, or the removal of challenging circumstances from our lives.  True peace is being in a place of intimately knowing God, and not being a stranger to His covenant promises. It’s something we are designed to experience in the midst of turmoil and distressing circumstances.  In John 14:27, Jesus assures us that this peace is found in Him, and that He gives it to us freely so we don’t let our hearts become troubled, or afraid.

It stops us from being agitated and disturbed; and enables us to refuse fear to intimidate and unsettle us. Isaiah 26:3, shows us how to enter this place of peace, and keep our hearts and minds there! “You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.”

By training ourselves to constantly keep the Word of God running in our thoughts, we will experience perpetual peace that will never relent to outward circumstances.  When we do this, the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and minds. It’s time to focus on God’s truth and have His peace rule in your life!
