It has been said that fear can be defined as false evidence appearing real. The Bible tells us the devil is the father of all lies (John 8:44) . Deception is his forte. If he can get us to believe a lie, it will ultimately distract us from the truth and walking in the light of God’s ways. Darkness is the devil’s domain. It’s where he is able to manipulate people and lord over them with fear. When we give fear any place in our minds, we magnify the false evidence and literally allow the enemy to manipulate us into making choices that are based on a response to fear. When we make choices based on fear and not faith – we are no longer walking in the light, but instead, in darkness. The Bible calls us children of light! We are not called to live our lives in deceit, but in truth and love (John 8:32). If you have been gripped by fear in any way or form, re-align your focus on the truth of God’s word and His love for you. His word is light and His perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18)! Immediately put a stop to what is feeding that fear and put your full attention on a good, anointed, faith-filled message! Read every bit of word-based, faith-building material you can get your hands on. It will cause God’s light to shine so brightly on the inside of you that every bit of darkness, in the recesses of your mind, is flushed out! You will soon feel the free flow of God’s love come rushing up from your spirit-man, and fear will loose its hold over you! Keep your eyes, heart, and mind enlightened to the truth of God’s word. Refuse to be moved by circumstances and stop entertaining the lies of the enemy. Only be moved by the truth of God’s Word! Then you will live a life full of light and love, and be completely unafraid!
