Living for His Purpose

Jesus said that in this world we will be confronted by the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, all having no place in the Father. The point He was making is that since these things have no place in the Father, they have no place in us.  Anything that is not part of God’s kingdom has no eternal value and will pass away. However, when we seek God’s kingdom first and live to do the will of the Father, we invest in a lifestyle with an eternal value that will last forever (1 John 2:16-17). The Bible says in the last days many will depart from the faith because they did not remain steadfast in righteousness. That doesn’t have to be our story. When we understand that we were created to be in Christ Jesus and to live according to His purpose, our attention and focus will be directed accordingly.  We will hunger to know Him and His ways more.  We will receive a spirit of wisdom and revelation concerning who He is and who we are in Him. Then we will know and live His purpose, His way, by His power that is working within us! (Ephesians 1:17-19). Take time to meditate on who the Word of God says you are in Christ Jesus,  it will fill you with wisdom and revelation and purpose to live a life of eternal value that will keep you steadfast in righteousness, obtaining the crown of life; and hopeless destruction will not be your end.
