Elijah heard the sound of the abundance of rain, without anything of the sort being revealed to his natural senses. He could not see any clouds and he was unable to hear, feel, smells, and taste the rain in the natural, but in the spirit, he heard it so clearly – it was absolutely real to him. Every time his servant went to investigate, the result was the same, followed by the instruction to go look until the report changes!
How many of us, after reading and believing the promises of God from His Word, start to doubt and give up after the third time we look and don’t see the results in the natural? Elijah was completely convinced; what he heard in his spirit carried more weight than anything that was contrary to it in the natural. God’s Word should carry more weight for us than what we see and hear in the natural too – that’s faith. Most people quit just before they experience their breakthrough. But that doesn’t have to be you! You might be surrounded by doubters, telling you nothing is happening. Just tell them to “Look again!”
Don’t be discouraged! Don’t give up believing and expecting God’s Word to manifest. Refuse to back down until you see what He has promised! When you have heard from God, let nothing and no one tell you otherwise – His Word NEVER returns void – it ALWAYS produces what it’s sent out to do! (Isaiah 55:11)
