Meet in the Secret Place

There is nothing more important for the believer than to seek the Lord and find Him, in the secret place. Jeremiah 29:13 says, “Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” To seek the Lord means to set time aside, away from every distraction, and spend time with Him. Speaking to Him, reading His Word, and praying in the Holy Ghost…all the while listening to His voice and drawing strength, peace, and instruction for the day ahead. Of course this has to be done by faith.

Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].” So, we must believe and expect God to meet us in the secret place, and to speak to us and show us what’s on His heart. Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand).”

God promises that if we take the step to seek Him, He will be found, and He will not be silent. You can trust His Holy Spirit to speak clearly into your heart through His written Word, and the spontaneous Word in your spirit. He is waiting for you now.
