Never Stop Growing

Spiritual maturity has nothing to do with our physical age, but everything to do with how much we are being transformed through the process of renewing our minds to the Word of God (Romans 12:1-2). Everything in life is expected to grow, whether it’s a tree you’ve just planted, a new puppy you’ve acquired, or a baby just been born.

Where there is life there is growth. The Word of God is life, and as we study its truth, we discover its growth process in us is a progressive road to spiritual, mental, and emotional maturity. All of these aspects directly affect our physical well-being too. When it comes to physical growth, there is a limit as to how tall you will grow; however, when it comes to our mental and spiritual capacity, there simply is no limit. That’s why the author of Hebrews urges us to “get past the elementary stage” and “proceed to advanced teaching”. 3 John 1:2 echoes this sentiment, indicating that as God’s Word grows and transforms us spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. We prosper in every way, including our physical health!

Today, make the decision to never stop feeding your faith, to never stop meditating on the Word of God, and to never stop yielding to its transforming power – growing you “towards the completeness and perfection that belong to spiritual maturity”
