No Missed Opportunity

The quickest way to disempower ourselves is to focus on the obstacle in front of us. From our perspective, especially when our emotions are in turmoil, that problem can appear impossible to solve. This way of thinking can render us spent. Those time-consuming, defeating thoughts lock us into mentally and emotionally living out every aspect of the problem – stealing our peace, joy, and much needed sleep. It saps not only our strength, but the creative mindset that is purposed by God to find solutions that will change the situation for good!

Consider the man in the pool…even when Jesus was offering him an opportunity to be well, his mind – and his confession – was still hung up on the problem, rather than immediately seizing the opportunity for wholeness. What a stark contrast compared to Luke 5:17-26, when the men carrying their paralyzed friend made a way to see the impossible situation overcome! The result was a complete miracle!

Whatever impossibility you may be staring at today, shift your focus away from how impossible it looks. Fix your gaze intently on the creative ability of your God – He has given you His Word and creative power. You have the mind of Christ and access to all the wisdom of God! Start praising Him for His goodness and faithfulness, and expect Him to pour His wisdom into you now! Condition your mind, will and emotions to confidently expect solutions; and begin rejoicing ahead of time. There’s no missed opportunity with this kind of mindset!
