You will never see the right thing with the wrong eyes. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:7 that we walk by faith and not by sight. As people of the Kingdom, our modus operandi is different to the people of the world, our first and only course of action is faith! It’s not that we don’t see the problems, we choose to not live controlled by, or in response to them. Instead, we live and make decisions by what God’s Word promises. For us to be effective in the world we live in and do what God has planned for us to do, we must have eyes of faith. Otherwise, we will never accomplish anything of value for the kingdom. Our eyes of faith cause us to not be moved by what our natural eyes see. The Bible tells us that Jericho was securely shut up and nobody could go in or go out. In the natural, penetrating those walls was an impossibility. But God told Joshua to see that He had given him the city. That’s why Joshua could boldly carry out the instructions received from the Lord, regardless of how foolish they seemed. Joshua saw the same thing God saw, and it was completely different to what was seen in the natural! When our eyes are fixed on the truth of God’s Word, being fully persuaded of who He says we are, and what He says we have in Him, we will never be swayed off course by natural circumstances that only entice us to doubt or fear. Lock your eyes on God’s promises, act on His Word alone, and every obstacle will move right out of your way as it responds to your faith in God!
