Isn’t it amazing how often we think that God loves us when we are worth loving. When we feel deserving of His love, we are confident to worship Him, or come before Him in prayer. The truth is, the only reason for our confidence to enjoy His manifest Presence, bask in His love, and receive His grace for every need – is HIS worthiness and HIS righteousness – certainly not our own! Jesus’ one-time offering of Himself secured an eternity of redemption for us! The Bible says He has FOREVER COMPLETELY cleansed and perfected us. Once we were cleansed of sin, God re-created our spirits to be just like Jesus – perfect and holy, righteous, and pure! Then He sealed our spirits with His Holy Spirit, so they would not be able to be contaminated by sin. (Ephesians 4:30). What does this mean? We were nothing in ourselves before we accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Jesus paid the ultimate price that made the great exchange – our sin for His righteousness! Jesus dying for our sins certainly paid the way for our full redemption. However, our salvation extends further! Through Jesus’ burial and resurrection, we are able to receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit dwelling inside us! (Colossians 2:9-12). This means that the righteousness that is in our spirits can continuously flow through our souls and into every part of our lives – as we renew our minds to God’s Word. The more we align our thoughts to the Word, the more God’s Own nature flows from our spirits, and we become conscious of our righteous nature – instead of our sinful nature. The Bible calls this living by the spirit and not the flesh. This is how we are able to not fulfil the lusts of the flesh (Galatians 5:16). Know you are righteous before God today, and be confident to experience His manifest love, and have the guarantee of your prayers been answered!
