What a joy to know that God’s kingdom principles work all the time! For instance, the principle of ‘seedtime and harvest’, that God set in place in Genesis 8:22, guarantees a perpetual harvest! Whatever is sown in faith, will not produce a harvest that is seasonal sensitive! As long as we are sowing seed – it is harvesting season all the time! It may be true that your harvest doesn’t always come automatically. The principle is that if we keep sowing seed by faith, we can keep expecting a harvest. One Bible commentary explains that when we continue to cast our seed onto the water, it will eventually come back on every wave! The trouble with many believers is, that they are determined to wait to see their harvest come in before they decide to sow again. This is pure foolishness when it comes to matters of faith. Now, the Bible speaks of seed being in so many different forms – from God’s word producing fruit in our lives, to acts of service, or kind words, or loving others unconditionally. Even giving financially into God’s kingdom is seen as sowing seed. Whatever the seed is – when it’s done in faith, it’s pleasing to God and is guaranteed to bring a harvest of the same kind right back into your life! Now think of the practical implications of sowing seed in the form of the Word of God into your life. The Bible says in Mark 4:24 that the measure of attention we pay to the Word, will be the measure of excellence it produces in us. If we just take one day to set some time aside to study the Word, it will produce results, but not enough to continuously transform us, and produce an unending harvest of spiritual fruit in our lives. No, that would come with a decision to continually spend time sowing the word of God into our hearts. It works the same regarding every form of seed we sow. Remember, you have the power to set into motion whatever harvest you would like to see come into your life, on a continuous basis! So, start sowing the right kind of seeds – without ceasing, and you will see that perpetual harvest come in!
