Place a Demand on God’s Power

What is impossible with man, is possible for God. We often place too much faith in science and the limited knowledge of man. If we would only place more faith in God and His Word, our lives would probably look quite different. We can certainly learn from the woman in Mark 5. After exhausting her finances and efforts on the best, earthly opinions and expertise she had access to, she fixed her attention on Jesus. She knew she needed more than what any doctor or remedy could offer her, and was convinced it would come from Him. So she kept confessing her healing would come the moment she touched His garment. Her steadfast faith came from hearing the reports of Jesus, and grew stronger inside her, until it became revelation truth in her heart. This woman understood Jesus had authority over her ailment, and that He carried the power within Him to heal her. It was her faith that placed a demand on His power the moment she reached out and touched Him. As a result, she received everything she had purposed in her heart. Like that woman, we must allow the truth of the Word we hear to dwell richly inside us. We must also be careful to only confess that truth, and nothing else. This way our faith will place a demand on the power of God, just as hers did, and we will see what we have set our hearts on become our reality too.
