The word “allegiance” is defined as “loyalty or commitment to something”. When we praise the Lord from sincere hearts, we are proclaiming, announcing, declaring and affirming our loyalty and commitment to Him and everything His Word says He is. In John 14:6, Jesus makes it very clear that the only way to the Father is through Him. We have been reconciled to God, through Jesus, by the finished work of the cross.
Hebrews 13:15 says because of Jesus we are able to continually praise God! Since our words of faith and praise carry tremendous power, our continual praise causes our lives to become powerful beacons, sending out a never-ending declaration of our allegiance to the Name that is above every other name.
So, while negative opinions oppose the perfect will of God for our lives – we can choose to lift the Name of Jesus instead of repeating their negative reports. This sends out our declaration of allegiance to God’s Name and the full victory it has already won! Every knee will bow to that Name as our praise causes God’s perfect will to triumph over every ploy of the enemy!
