Positioned for Benefits

A committed life to God means that our lives need to look like and be directed according to what is written in the Word of God. We have been given the Bible, which is “God breathed” so that we can learn, grow, and know how to live complete lives that are fully equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17). There are wonderful benefits and rewards that come from living this way. Jesus paid the price for us to experience all God has for us. We are promised an open Heaven over our lives, as we choose to walk in a way that is far different to this world. A life set apart means laying down anything that is not pleasing to the Father, anything that contradicts His nature and His Word. When our lives are in order with God’s will, we have an undeniable peace and confidence that His eyes are constantly upon us, and His hand of protection and favour turned towards us.  Matthew 6:33 makes the case that seeking God and His way of doing things as our priority will position us to receive absolutely every need, in abundance.  We know God and His ways through His written Word. When we seek to know and understand Him more – this is where we will find what we are looking for.  We certainly won’t find it in the world.  We must deliberately stay clear from anything that is not pleasing to Him. The Bible calls us His representatives, which is such an honour, and a great responsibility. We must live in a manner that represents Him well! Of course, none of this is possible in our own strength.  It is only possible through the power and strength of the indwelling Holy Spirit.  Philippians 2:13 says, “[Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight,” As you determine to yield to the work of the Holy Spirit you will be empowered to live a life that is pleasing to the Father and so position yourself for every benefit and blessing both in and under heaven!
