God is great and mighty. He can do all things! He has unlimited power and knowledge, and nothing is impossible for Him! When we let our daily lives display our love and appreciation for Him by purposefully being grateful and praising Him in all things, His joy and peace will begin rise up from our spirts and flow like a river of life to those around us. Even if there doesn’t seem to be anything to praise Him for, begin thanking Him aloud for being your source of genuine joy! Tell Him that He is your life, your salvation and the lifter of your head! He is your peace and your victory and the One you can run to, hide in, and trust! We see David doing this repeatedly in the Psalms. Even when he was being pursued by his enemies, abandoned by his friends, and found himself all alone hiding in a cave – he delighted himself in the Lord! His choice to cheer up by praising God and being thankful when there seemed to be nothing to be thankful for, caused the goodness and favour of God to chase him down and overtake him! Make a choice to shake off despair and delight yourself in the Lord, and you will see how He supernaturally comes to your rescue, fills you with His love, floods your soul with His peace, and empowers you with His irrepressible joy! You’ll be dancing all around the place with victory in your heart – ready to receive His instruction to get you out of the trouble you are in, and into the blessing He has waiting for you!
