Proclaim Allegiance to His Name

Throughout the Psalms we see declarations of God’s goodness and faithful nature, and are encouraged to magnify Him, and praise His name!  It may seem difficult to praise God with all your heart when you are feeling discouraged, or even frustrated because you have not yet seen what you are believing Him for manifest in your life.  The truth is, when we learn that true praise and sincere worship is not based on our feelings or our circumstances, but rather on the never changing, ever credible and dependable nature of God – our praise will never be a difficult effort! In fact we will be able to burst into spontaneous, heartfelt praise at anytime, anywhere, no matter the circumstance, because its based on the merit of who He is! This kind of praise pleases the Lord and attracts His undivided attention and favour to us  (2 Chronicles 16:9). It reveals the true state of our hearts towards Him. That’s not to say we don’t praise Him for what He does and what He has promised to do for us.  The word continually tells us to declare His mighty works and praise Him for them. So even when we have not yet seen our answered prayer, we still praise Him for His faithfulness do all He has promised, and we magnify Him for the works of His hands because they are a sure indication of what we can expect when we continue to believe and trust Him! Today let your praise to the Lord be sincere and full of heartfelt expectation as you proclaim your allegiance to His Name!  Remember, He is only good and kind and He is swift to answer those who’s hearts are set on being loyal towards Him, regardless of what we do or do not see in the natural!
